Advantages Of Our Dental Implants

  • Dental Implant provides that support which restores your full chewing power as natural teeth.
  • It functions just like your normal original teeth. After surgery one cannot distinguish the between the natural teeth and the implantation.
  • It constricts bone loss that occurs beneath a missing teeth in the gums. By preserving bone mass, your natural teeth is properly maintained too and remains in good shape and condition.
  • Implant-supported teeth are close enough to prevent flexibility so that it does not shift its position.
  • Improved speech. Often restorations like dentures, if ill-fitted, can slip off inside the mouth causing uneasiness within the mouth. But implants do not run the risk of falling out very easily unless any accident occurs.

The Dental Implantation Procedure

Here is the step-by-step process for a dental implant. You can have an idea about the same before you decide to go for an implantation procedure.

  • Extraction:  If a particular tooth is badly damaged due to an accident or simply bacterial decay the affected tooth needs to be removed or extracted first. This is done keeping in mind that the bone mass in the area surrounding the socket are intact.
  • Grafting the socket:  The site of the extracted tooth is normally cleared off using a fine surgical curette. After the granular material is cleared off the walls of this hollow are also often scrapped to initiate some amount of bleeding! This is done so that the implants get a strong base. The socket is then filled with some grafting material and the site is allowed to heal.
  • Placing the implant:  Holes are drilled into the jawbone surgically and the implants are posted there. There are two implants on either side of the empty site- they actually serve the purpose of your natural tooth roots!
  • Placing the abutment:  An abutment serves the purpose of a base upon which the artificial tooth (crown) will be finally placed. Abutments just past the gum line such that they are slightly visible when you open your mouth. They keep themselves attached to the implants. Once the shape and shade of the artificial tooth is determined, it is placed atop the abutment.
  • Choosing your artificial tooth:  The purpose of dental implants is not completely achieved until the artificial tooth is placed. The choice of the artificial tooth totally rests upon the candidate. One may go for a fixed or a removable tooth. If you choose to have your tooth removed while cleaning or taking rest you might go for the removable ones. However, if you are lazy enough, go for the fixed ones!

Reception was kind and efficient during new patient setup and post-appointment scheduling. Dr. MJ and her assistant were kind, informative, and skilled throughout the procedures with the right balance of knowledge and experience to provide exceptional care. There was never any point where I felt unsafe or disregarded. All financial matters were very transparent and explained well. Based on my experience today, I highly recommend this practice.

I am finally writing a review about a year after going. My visit to this dentist felt like I was on Candid Camera. The “hygenist” used a toothbrush to “clean” my teeth instead of what typical dentist offices use. She did not seem to know how to use the xray machine. When she tried to use the suction tool, the tip flew past my face nearly hitting me. At the end, the dentist came in briefly to let me know I needed multiple procedures done. I have never had any issues with my teeth. I finally got into a local reputable dentist and none of the issues Floss presented were not any issues at all. I would advise to click on each of the positive reviews and see where the reviewers reside. I would guess they are paid reviews and none live in KW.

My wife got 1 crown from here and a year later the crown fell off. She was pregnant at the time it fell off and decided to wait till after the birth of our child to go back and get it fixed due to prevent harming the baby from possible x rays. Once she called, the person on the phone said that they could not help her due to she is no longer a patient of theirs due to not going to her routine cleaning. So, she would first have to pay for a consultation and then would make a plan to get it fixed which would be an additional cost. Not liking the service we called another dentist and the dentist told us we should call back because most crowns have a 5 year warranty and should still be covered to get it fixed. After she called FLOSS, the person said they don’t have warranties. If you need a crown done , you should avoid this place because they don’t stand behind their service. *Follow up* It has been a year not years as stated by FLOSS. Please see how inconsiderate they are about the situation. Ofcourse an evaluation is needed to see if there are any other issues but for this dental office to not take in consideration the pregnancy and label my wife as “not a patient of theirs” due to not going to routine clean ups and want to charge as an out of patient for the consultation and will be an additional charge to fix ‘their’ work due to the warranty doesn’t apply to my wife anymore due for not doing routine check ups due to her pregnancy shows where their priorities are, $$$. Beware future customers.

I love this dental office, Dr. Santos is very sweet and her assistants are always going above and beyond to give the best experience getting treatment done. I recommend coming here for all your dental needs and they really do work around your schedule. Especially when I work a full week and it’s hard finding offices open on the weekend.
